Real Fiction for Real People

What if I had something to say and no one showed up to hear it?

That’s a risk every writer takes. That’s a risk every person takes.

What makes people real? I think it’s the ability to risk. The ability

to make a statement, take a stand, share emotions. Even when

what they’re saying and what they’re feeling isn’t always sanctioned.

Or pretty. Or perfect.

Even when it’s not faith.

Even when it’s doubt.

Real people. Those are the kinds of people I write fiction for. I hope

you’re one of them. Because I have a lot more stories to tell. And

I’d like to tell them to you.

Moon Over Tokyo

What if God answered your prayer and you pretended not to hear him?

Stars and Stripes reporter, Allie O'Connor, has lived in Japan for 2 years and still feels like a foreigner. As her best friend prepares to move away, she prays for a new friend. Soon after, she runs into Eric Larsen, an old classmate from high school. They used to be polar opposites and he is definitely not the friend she was looking for.
